A day at Eden Hall

Not far from our base in Leicester, we recently we took to the skies at Eden Hall after the beautiful refresh of their Spa Courtyard which was ready just in time for summer. As Eden Hall’s trusted Aerial Photographer the brief was simple - capture our new space and make it look as brilliant in the photos & Video as it does in real life!

Operating our drones Safely and Legally

Eden Hall is situated right next to Syerston RAF base which meant that we needed to get permission from the RAF to get our drones unlocked and able to fly in their airspace - fortunately, the team at Syerston are a great bunch and this was sorted swiftly and the drones shackles were taken off.

Approaching the day

As the finishing touches of the building work were undertaken we monitored the weather closely so we could spring into action as soon as the building work was finished and prior to the summer spa opening to customers.

On the day

Working on-site with the ground-based Videographer and the marketing team from Eden Hall we approached the shoot methodically making sure that we captured everything we wanted from the shot list that we’d pulled together prior to the shoot. We of course captured plenty more as the opportunities arose!

Shooting for Socials

The Eden Hall team are hot on their Socials so we shot a lot of the video twice, once in landscape orientation and again in portrait so they were ready to be uploaded to Social media. Doing this gives our clients the greatest level of flexibility as it means they don’t need to crop into landscape footage in order to achieve their goals.

Drones don’t have to be high in the air to capture great video

Ground based video doesn’t need to be shot with a ground based camera! We used our drones to capture both aerial video and ground based video - a drone can get to places that a gimbal can’t!
